R&D Surf has been manufacturing private label surfboards for surf shops for over 15 years. The private label program was introduced to allow shops to have a quality made board at a better price and to compete with the many backyard built surfboards that were keeping surfboard prices lower than they should have been. Over the years the market has changed and even cheaper import boards have put a lot of the backyard board builders out of business. We at R&D Surf see the market changing again and feel that the trend is going back to boards made in the USA. The beginner surfer needs a lower priced board to be introduced to the sport, so import boards work for that paticular demograph, but shops can also have another low cost option in the form of

PRIVATE LABEL surfboards built in the USA and designed to work in paticular conditions for paticular customers. All of our private label boards are shaped and built by experienced craftsmen and manufactured with the same quality materials that we put into all of our surfboards. We have our own R&D Surf label or you can use your shop name and logo or come up with a brand name and label to create a line of boards that can be priced between the import boards and the more popular name brand surfboards. We see the middle priced boards to be a larger part of the market today. You can order stock boards or custom boards with your own label and design. Polyester or epoxy construction is available on all private label surfboards. SUP boards are only available in epoxy construction.
